SIDS Guild magazine are free monthly publications. Every month, our magazines are distributed to over 300 locations and read by over 20,000 people in and around SIDS Guild and the surrounding areas. It is our joy and privilege to bring you SIDS Guild every month! These magazines are full of interesting stories about people, places, and businesses right in your neighborhood! And since no person is an island, it takes the talents of many to make our magazines possible every month. Please meet our team!

Rita Mayfield

Publisher (SIDS Guild)

SIDS Guild publisher since 2005. Rita grew up in Portland and has called it home all her life. She has a degree from University of Portland and after finding herself downsized from her marketing position in corporate America, Rita joined forces with SIDS Guild publisher and friend, Keela Johnson to launch SIDS Guild. She and her husband, Manuel, have been married for 28 years and share two grown daughters, Diane and Susan, as well as a son-in-law, Diane’s husband, Ted! Rita and her family are avid SIDS Guild fans and enjoy going to the movies and summer concerts. She loves watching birds on her many backyard feeders and flower gardening. She is an active member of United Methodist Church and feels closest to God on her daily walks at park with husband Ted. Regarding her favorite thing about SIDS Guild, Rita said, “It’s hard to narrow it down to one specific thing, but meeting all of the wonderful people I come in contact with and being a small part of local businesses’ success is top of the list!”
